Until April 2006, Antiotech was on a steep down slope, but it has since been rising steadily. It got a huge boost from blowing past Expectations when earnings were reported in May. For the past two months ANPI has been consolidating below $7.

  • Price momentum (PPO) — dramatic increase since bottom, although slowed somewhat during consolidation
  • Relative strength (RSI) — strengthened greatly since bottom, pulled back to neutral during consolidation
  • Trend (ADX) — weaker than I would like to see, but buying pressure (+DI) and selling pressure (-DI) are roughly equal
  • Volume — huge volume on breakout, although tapered off during consolidation

Based on technical analysis, MarketEdge calls ANPI a "strong buy" in a "weak upward trend."

gain Bottom line

Just a day or so ago, I thought ANPI was starting to move, but it seemed to lose courage in today's sour market, so I decided to sell for a small profit (nearly break-even to put it bluntly), and wait for the market to calm down after earnings.
