4pm – 84°F

But who's complaining?

| December — often cold and rainy here in the desert — has been positively balmy. Last Saturday it was so warm at the Light Parade that I never even put my warm clothes on. And since then the daytime temps have been around 80°F. What's not to like?

On the other hand, places like Paris, France, which hardly ever sees snow, is blanketed with the fluffy white stuff. They have had to close the airport a couple of times! Mon dieu!

Wintry Paris comes to mind because friend Bob is leaving tomorrow morning to spend the holidays in France with his nephews and a cruise on the Seine. Nephew David sent photos this morning exhorting Bob to bring warm clothes:

Chez David, à Paris
In "the forest"

You know what? I don't feel the least bit sorry for Bob.
