September 14, 2009 | On Saturday, Réal, Ken, and I went to San Diego for the rodeo. It was a beautiful day there, perhaps in the low 80s — of course everyone there thought it was hot! What do they know? Nevertheless, we did appreciate the awnings they had erected over the grandstand for the first time this year.
As usual, we saw a bunch of people we never see any other time, and, as usual, the events were way behind schedule so we missed the last few. By the time the men had finished the flag race, our backsides were flagging from the narrow metal benches, so we headed home.
Most of this year's pictures were taken by Ken. Although I had my camera, I just wasn't in the mood for taking pictures, and when I finally did get inspired, the battery in my camera died. It wasn't meant to be.
