TSYS 6-month chart
6 April 2009. I regretted that I sold an earlier lot of TSYS. It has continued its upward climb, even today on a generally dismal day on The Street. I decided to hop on for another ride.
- Percentage price oscillator (PPO) — diverging again after pulling back near the signal line
- Volume — many recent days of heavier than normal volume
Based on technical analysis, MarketEdge calls TSYS a "strong buy" in a "weak upward trend."
28 Apr 2009. As soon as I bought this lot of TSYS I realized I had paid too much. I have been waiting for the price to get back up high enough that I could unload the lot without a loss.
This lot is a wash, but it was a long time a-coming. In the interim, TSYS has traded as low as $8.11, which would have been a loss of nearly 20% had I been forced to sell.
I do still have another lot of TSYS that I bought later to bring down the average cost per share. The remaining lot is showing a tidy profit.
