November 27, 2008 | Times are tough all over, true enough. But there are still things to be thankful for.
— er, um —
— hmmm … Bear with me, I'll think of something —
I still have some money. I've always planned to live rich and die broke. I just didn't think I'd have to die so soon.
I have wonderful friends. The usual suspects will assemble chez moi this afternoon for the traditional pig-out. Because of the perilous state of the economy, the menu will be rice and beans with greens. Not! (See previous item)
I have my health. Such as it is. The joints are getting creaky, but in case of a flat, I do have an ample spare tire. And my colon is happy, they say.
My happy ileocecal valve
We're going to have a president who has a brain and speaks English. In the way of Brokeback Mountain, "Bush, why can't we quit you?" Go already!
