I have to say it: it's cold! And the forecast for this week includes days when the temperature is not expected to reach 70° F.

I'm not expecting any sympathy. To the contrary, I anticipate some mocking. But the fact is, it's cold.

Going about town, you can easily discriminate between residents and visitors. Visitors are dressed in shorts, T-shirts, and sandals. Residents are dressed in long pants, long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, jackets, and shoes over thick-wool socks.

There is, of course, an obvious explantion: it's a dry cold!
